Speaking at Orland Park Chamber of Commerce Membership Meeting
March 23, 2022 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am
The game of chess is one that is heavily reliant on strategy but what is unique about the game is that there is no hidden information. While running your business or practice, you use various strategies to operate a successful organization but when there is a client or customer conflict, you may be thrown off your game and knock you off the board. Attorney Gwendolyn J. Sterk, Sterk Family Law Group, will discuss strategies for dealing with customers/clients in stressful times. Recently, there has been a lot of stories about complaints from consumers, business owners, and employees about dealing with unrealistic expectations for services or goods. Clients may complain about staff. Your business may be understaffed, and you are having difficulties finding dedicated staff. This puts pressure on your existing staff and the issues spin out from there. It is simply exhausting. Join us as Gwen will discuss ways we can all manage our clients/customers, establish expectations, provide realistic answers as to products and services, face the fear of the unknown, and create boundaries. Don’t make promises that cannot be kept to keep a customer. We all have our ways of dealing with these issues but a fresh discussion on the topic will hopefully bring new ideas and recharge our perspectives. We need to stay on top of our game.
