One of the biggest issues of conflict within family law cases are cases which involve children. As mental health providers, chances are, a large number of your clients may be affected by parenting issues that are intertwined with family law matters.
Within the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act, there are specific factors which relate to parenting matters including factors for parenting time and decision making and many of these factors can cause unnecessary mental, emotional, and legal upset if the parties don’t co-parent correctly.
