What do clients look for in an attorney?

I think clients typically are seeking out attorneys during difficult moments of their lives, and as a result, they need compassion, listening, and clarity.

Why did you choose Family Law?

Families are the most important parts of our lives and they deserve protection and advocacy. I have experience in other areas of law, but family law has always felt like an area where I can listen and connect people with more resources than just legal advice. 

What is your greatest fulfillment as a family law attorney?

I think my greatest fulfillment has come in helping parties to resolve extremely contested situations into a workable solution for the sake of kids. 

How do you get away from stress and separate your work from your home life?

I think the best thing you can do for recharging and work/life balance is to spend time outside in nature. Even just going for a walk can be a great reset for me. 

Who is your hero?

I really enjoy Simone Biles and the dedication and commitment to the sport of gymnastics, but also the recognition of the importance of mental health and prioritizing that. It is admirable that she has returned to the sport at such an elite level.

What is your favorite quote?

What do you do in your spare time?

I like to spend time with my family.

What is your biggest accomplishment?

I feel like my biggest professional accomplishment is when I practiced immigration law and was successful in getting people their green cards.

How do you like working with Gwendolyn J. Sterk and the Family Law Group, P.C.

I’ve enjoyed the care and interest the group shows for their clients, and felt connected right away. 

What is a fun fact about you?

My husband grew up in Greece, and as a result, I have learned to speak some Greek. 

What is your favorite holiday and why?

I really like the kick off to summer, so I’d say Memorial Day as it opens up the summer.

Are you connected to the counties in which you practice?

Yes, I am a part of bar associations in several Chicagoland counties. I look forward to continuing to get more involved. 

If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?

I’d pick a panda. I think they are very cute, and I like to watch them play.
