The Resource Center at Sterk Family Law Group, P.C.

Sterk Family Law Group’s Resource Center is an important part of our team’s holistic approach to family law and estate planning as it connects our clients with a network of trusted professionals and organizations.  Our team has taken the time to personally meet with every one of our resources to learn more about their organizations so we may try to best offer our client options to empower themselves.  Our Resource Center is designed to support various aspects of clients’ lives, ensuring they have access to the necessary resources during significant life transitions.

While we have hundreds of different available resources, some of these include:

Mental Health Professionals

Understanding the emotional complexities of family law matters, the Resource Center provides referrals to licensed counselors and therapists. These professionals assist clients in managing stress, anxiety, and other emotional challenges that may arise during legal proceedings.  Many families find benefits in individual, couples or family counseling for both children and adults.

Financial Professionals

Financial planning is crucial during events like divorce or estate planning. The Resource Center connects clients with financial planners and advisors who offer guidance on asset division, budgeting, and future financial planning, ensuring clients make informed decisions about their financial well-being.

Real Estate and Mortgage Professionals

Navigating real estate matters during legal proceedings can be challenging. Our Resource Center provides access to real estate agents and mortgage professionals who work to assist clients in buying, selling, or refinancing properties, while trying to ensure that their real estate decisions align with their legal and financial goals.

Non-Profit Organizations and Support Groups

Recognizing the importance of community support, the Resource Center collaborates with non-profit organizations and support groups. These partnerships offer clients additional assistance and a sense of community during their legal journeys.  Many of our non-profit resources have already been featured in our Non-Profit Heroes showcase, which is an ongoing, monthly program to highlight local non-profits’ work.

Special Needs Resources

For families with individual members who may have special needs, the Resource Center provides information on educational institutions and specialized services such as various therapies. This ensures that clients can access tailored support and resources to meet their unique circumstances.

Legal Resources

Beyond the firm’s family law and estate planning legal services, the Resource Center offers our clients access to educational materials, literature, DVDs, and books. These resources empower clients with knowledge about legal processes and terminology, enabling them to navigate their situations more effectively.  We also have a trusted network of other Attorneys whose areas of concentration may be helpful for non-family law related matters.

Valuation Resources

Accurate valuation of assets is essential in legal matters. The Resource Center connects clients with professionals who specialize in asset valuation, ensuring fair and equitable assessments during proceedings.  These professionals may offer assistance for personal and business matters.

Podcasts

In addition to these resources, Sterk Family Law Group offers a podcast titled “Resource Sessions with Sterk Family Law Group, P.C.” This podcast covers topics such as family law, special needs, domestic violence resources, and features guest speakers and non-profit heroes, providing clients with valuable insights and information.

By offering these diverse resources, it is our goal to ensure that our clients receive comprehensive support, addressing both legal and personal aspects of their lives during transitions.
