Why did you choose to work in Family Law?
I didn’t choose family law, family law chose me. I stumbled into family law almost 8 years ago when I joined the firm as the receptionist. Working with a great leader and a firm that has team holistic approach has been very fulfilling. As years have gone by, I have grown into my current role here now as the Client Relations Lead. Assisting potential and current clients navigate what may be the most difficult times of their lives has continued to be a humbling experience.

What is your greatest fulfillment in working in family law?
My greatest fulfilment is knowing I’ve guided, supported, and empowered our prospective and current clients in the next chapter of their lives. I also love it when our clients express their gratitude for all the hard work we put into their case!

How do you get away from stress and separate your work from your home life?
I make time to practice yoga and go out for walks. I also am constantly listening to music and will
randomly break out in dance to help my body release any extra stress. Listening to standup comedy is
another huge stress reliever for me. Laughter is the best medicine! 

Who is your hero?
No one comes to mind other than Barbra O’Neill. I believe in alternative and holistic medicine. She is
incredibly wise and a great educator.

What do you do in your spare time?
I enjoy the outdoors by going for nature walks, disc golfing, or being on the water. Making new vegan recipes with my partner is always an adventure. Attending live music and EDM shows are one of my favorite past times. I also practice yoga, gardening, and enjoy learning about alternative health remedies. I love traveling and exploring new places whenever I can!

What do you like about working at Sterk Family Law Group, P.C.
I love our work family, the flexibility, and the support our team provides each other daily. I also love our firm’s logo, the Koru. The Koru symbolizes new life, growth, strength, and peace. These traits are what I believe we strive to provide for our clients through our holistic approach.

What is your favorite holiday and why?
Thanksgiving. I believe practicing daily gratitude in our lives is so important. There is so much in our lives that we take for granted. Being able to spend quality time with loved ones over this holiday is something that I cherish and will never take for granted.

If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
Otters are my spirit animal. I can be very energetic, playful, and I absolutely love to be in the water.
